Joburg introduces Crush: a modern wine event for Pinot Noir lovers
More than 30 of the country’s best Pinot Noir wines will be introduced to Joburg wine lovers through the first in a series of single-varietal tastings, called Crush.
The first Crush event will focus on the noblest of wines; Pinot Noir. The event itself promises to revitalise the way that traditional wine tastings are hosted and event owner Ryan Sowray says that the tasting will not only be unique, but it will also please the palate, eyes and mind.
It will take place at the Firs in Rosebank on November 10 between 17h30 and 21h30. Tickets are R120 through www.webtickets.co.za
“We are very proud to introduce an event that is solely focused on introducing Joburgers to a single varietal, this gives wine lovers the chance to focus, discuss and compare some of South Africa’s best Pinot Noir’s,” says Ryan Sowray, event owner.
Pinot Noir has long been considered one of the noblest grapes, and the varietal that winemakers find the hardest to tame. More than half the grapes are discarded before picking to ensure both the maximum flavour and only the best fruit remains.
This is why the elegant red cherry-infused juice that Pinot Noir lovers seek, explodes with passion and character.
