The Best of the Taj Hotel Series 5 tasting
Cape Town’s premium 5 star luxury hotel, Taj Cape Town hosted the 5th of it’s series wine tastings last night. Winetimes set-out to find the top wines at the show.

Paul Cluver - Pinot Noir 2009
Notes: Hints of chocolate and coffee on the nose. Bright, fresh fruits. Well-balanced and pure. Good acidity. Velvety finish. R180 / Bottle
Top Cheap & Cheerful Wines (R60 and below)
Steenberg – Klein Steenberg Cabernet Sauvignon 2010
Notes: Berries, vanilla and cigar box nose. Ripe fruit and berry lekker palate. Great value for money. R55 / bottle.
Winetimes Wine of the Show
La Motte - Brut MCC 2008
Notes: Lovely yeasty and biscuit aromas. Fine mousse with a creamy balanced mouth feel. Matured on the lease for 29 months, with only 3300 bottles produced. R240 / bottle.
