Summer debut for Fleur du Cap Unfiltered Sauvignon Blanc 2011
Fleur du Cap, acclaimed for exceptionally elegant Unfiltered wines, has released a new Sauvignon Blanc vintage that will work its magic this summer. From rich Namibian oysters, asparagus and crisp salads doused in vinaigrette to spicy Thai dishes, new Fleur du Cap Unfiltered Sauvignon Blanc 2011 is the quintessential summer food wine.
Handpicked from meticulously selected vineyards in Darling and Cape Augulhas and handcrafted with minimal interference in the cellar at Die Bergkelder, this beautifully balanced, well-rounded Sauvignon Blanc is layered with complexity. Relying on traditional winemaking practices, this wine is not filtered to maximise the preservation of all the Sauvignon Blanc nuances and as a result it simply abounds with fruit and flavour.
”This crisp, brilliantly clear wine teems with wonderful aromas of the full Sauvignon Blanc spectum including melon, white peaches, ltchis and gooseberries with just a hint of asparagus. It is a beautifully balanced wine with fresh acidity and an aftertaste that seems to linger forever,“ says winemaker Pieter Badenhorst.
Set apart by its elegance, Fleur du Cap Sauvignon Blanc 2011 will enhance any dining experience, whether you sip it on the patio or at a more formal sit down affair. It is available at selected boutique wine shops at around R95.
