The dot com wines
Sauvignon.com recently released 2 “web savvy” wines in the form of a Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc.
The Sauvignon.com concept is the brainchild from Thys Louw from Diemersdal in Durbanville. The aim of the brand is to challenge the way people think about wine and engage with new consumers. Thys’s passion for sustainability made him decide to create Sauvignon.com to encourage his own generation to take the necessary steps to preserve resources of the planet for future generations. By developing a brand with a name that combines both the grape variety and the website url, Sauvignon.com has created a unique vehicle to spread the word about all things good and green.
The 2011 Sauvignon Blanc is a fun and fruity wine. There’s nothing serious about this wine and the freshness of the wine makes it the ideal partner for summer.
The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon is as easy drinking as the Sauvignon Blanc and this is the type of wine to take to a braai. The wine is lively with a degree of richness and fullness.
The great thing about these wines are the price tag. Both wines retail at only R43 so you don’t have to break the bank to support the great biodiversity initiative behind these wines.
