Summer etiquette: Serving guests cheap wine
How cheap does wine have to be before it is socially unacceptable to serve to guests?
After the holidays you will find a whole bunch of discounted wines in store. Will that R25 bottle of wine statisfy your guests?
If the wine taste really nasty we suggest you turn it into a refreshing summer cocktail. Remember the Katemba? This 50/50 mix of red wine and coca-cola might just save the day.
Ingredients
- 1 cheap red bottle of wine
- 1 liter coca-cola
- plenty of ice
Fill the highball glass with ice, then half fill it with red wine, and half fill it with coca-cola. If you are not a fan of coca-cola you can always replace it with ginger ale.
