BOSCHENDAL’S annual Night Markets are in full swing, making for a beautiful and safe night out with family and friends this summer.
Taking a fine balance between innovation and tradition to new heights has once again proved fruitful for legacy Franschhoek Valley winery, Boschendal as its Cap Classique winemaker, Danielle Coetsee, received the prestigious ‘’Woman Winemaker of the Year” award at the 2020 SA Women’s Wine & Spirit Awards.
Legendary South African wine estate Boschendal was named producer of the top South African White Wine at the prestigious International Wine Challenge (IWC) with its Boschendal Elgin Chardonnay 2018. Besides the accolade as Top South African White Wine, the wine was named Best Elgin Chardonnay as well as achieving a Gold Medal for scoring 96 out of 100 points.
This year has certainly been one which will be remembered for many years to come – and as much as we acknowledge the challenges, we also believe in the importance of celebrating moments of joy and accomplishment. Boschendal has been fortunate to have created some of these special moments in 2020 – with many awards and accolades to remind us of the reward of passion, hard work and dedication. Most recently, Platter’s Wine Guide awarded no less than four of our wines with 4.5 stars in the 2021 report. With a 335-year legacy in winemaking, you’ll be forgiven for wanting to add more than just one of our highly acclaimed vintages to your wine cellar.
